Chase Wissman Signs With CFCC

We would like to congratulate Chase Wissman, along with Mr. and Mrs. Wissman on Chase's recent signing to pitch at Central Florida Community College next fall. Coach Smith of CFCC called Chase late last week offering an outstanding scholarship to him and his family. Chase has been a starting pitcher in my rotation for the past 2 seasons and has pitched admirably against some of the best teams in the country. One of his starts I remember the most was this past fall, Chase was matched up against SWFL 18U. The pitcher for the opposing team was headed on scholarship to the University of Florida. Chase showed what he was all about, outdueling this kid and dominating the SWFL bats. Chase also had the opportunity to start against Central Florida Community College this past fall. He had a very good showing and essentially, earned a great scholarship to further his academic and athletic career. We are very proud of Chase and his development as a pitcher since he drove thru the WOB gates a few years ago.

WOB's Aldo Ferrante Signs Scholarship with Liberty Flames!!

The World of Baseball would like to congratulate Aldo Ferrante , on signing a Division 1 scholarship with the Liberty Flames. The Liberty baseball program is one of the very best in the Big South Conference. Aldo has been in our program since the beginning and is one of the most improved players to come out of WOB. Aldo turned in some clutch performances for us this past summer and fall. Aldo made 1st team All-Tournament in the Prospect Wire Florida State Championships, batting over .600 for the event. Aldo also had one of the biggest hits in WOB's short history. It was the Pool Championship game in Perfect Game Worlds in Jupiter, Fl this past fall. We were down 6 - 5 against the Undergrad World Champions in the bottom of the 6th inning. Aldo hit a 2 out, 2-run double off of the Scorpions closer which led us to our 6th Perfect Game pool championship. Thanks Aldo for your contributions to the World of Baseball.
